At the good word of Rally OKC and the Internet, we checked out the YWCA fundraiser at The Plant Shoppe in Film Row last Friday evening. Local artists covered Nina Simone songs to bring out the crowd and all the proceeds from the night went to YWCA. There were pop up shops from Bison Shop, Stone + Harper, art from Melissa Jacobs, and donated beer from COOP Ale Works. According to the promoter, Jerrod Beck, over $1300 was raised and will be turned into the local YWCA today.
