Vanessa House 5th Keg

We love to burn the midnight oil, a task usually fueled by beer. So when Andrew Carrales from Vanessa House Beer Co. stopped by our home to drop off a 4-pack of their new beer, 5th Keg Brown Ale, we were more than thrilled. After four years of hard work, their first original recipe is ready for release this Thursday at Oak and Ore (The 401K Cream Ale was invented later, but went to market first).

Hudson wants it, but won't get any.

We’re biased because we love the VHBC guys, but this is a tasty beer. It has the sugar and alcohol content of a Belgian (8.0 ABV) and lactose, but they’ve cut that by adding Warrior hops. It’s been popular at tastings since they debuted it in August 2105 at Oklahoma Born and Brewed and worth raising a glass to and with.

Meet the VHBC guys and celebrate their baby on Thursday, February 2nd at 6 pm at Oak and Ore. Watch for 5th Keg on shelves in OKC and if they don’t have it, ask for it!
