Last week, As Told By: OKC was invited to try Halcyon Works, the new co-working space in the Paseo dreamed up by the team of Erin Cooper, Tim Cooper,  John Handy Edwards and Sarah Brune Edwards. The space is designed as a common ground work space for individuals and entrepreneurs who have outgrown their kitchen tables. More importantly, being near creative people breeds more creativity. And it’s fun. Creative collaboration is the goal of Halcyon Works in the Paseo Arts District in Oklahoma City. 

“Co-working is essentially the use of a common office or another work setting by people who usually work independently” says co-founder Erin Cooper. “Typically, the benefit is to share equipment, ideas, and knowledge. We hope to provide support for independent businesses looking to take their concepts to the next level.”

We were hooked from the start. A bright and beautiful room full of talented people with access to high speed internet, fresh coffee and an actual working copier and printer: what’s not to love? Each of the work spaces are up for grabs every morning and there are two conference rooms that can be reserved for meetings and presentations. Members get 24/7 access to the space and amenities.
