Thursday, February 23: History Off Center
Cash bar yourself at 21c while you learn more about Film Row. The best part? Graham Colton will be there and so will Dr. Bob Blackburn, executive director of the Oklahoma Historical Society. Fun starts at 6 p.m.
Friday, February 24: 7th Annual Midtown Rotary Spelling Bee(r)
Pay your money and get to drinking, it’s time to laugh and snort as people drunkenly try to spell. All the fun of being a kid in the spelling bee only now the public ridicule is very intentional. Tickets here.
Saturday, February 25: Meet The Muslims, Vanessa House Pint Night, The Legend of the $5 Milkshake
Join the American Muslim Association at the Grand Mosque at 2 p.m. for an open house and Q&A session. Then at 6 pm, head to Anchor Down for the only nitro release of Vanessa House Beer Company’s 5th Keg. Later that night, head to Speakeasy with other Quentin Tarantino fans for another one of James Ngheim’s super cool art shows.
Monday, February 27th: Fried Chicken and Beer
If you missed Vanessa House on Saturday or just really love beer, catch them again on Monday. VHBC is teaming up with Packard’s for an evening of beer and fried chicken. Grab your tickets here, they’re going fast as fried chicken.
Tuesday, February 28th: Fat Tuesday at Savings & Loan
Fun fact: the staff at Savings and Loan has a lot of connections to New Orleans. They’re throwing a Mardi Gras party complete with a second line, king cake and whoever gets the baby wins $100 gift card. We’re doing an Instagram takeover for them so we got to taste their Mardi Gras cocktails and wow. Make sure you try a Ramos Gin Fizz!
