The Tower Theatre in Uptown 23rd is getting closer. In January, the marquee came to life and the collective anticipation of the community lit up as well. As the calendar creeps along, so does the delivery of all the rumored projects, some faster than others. A Jabee concert will open the Theatre in August. The walls of Daniel Chae’s bun shop and Ian and Hailey McDermid’s Bunker Club are up. Stephen Tyler and the WAFTI crew have moved in to the second floor and are using the space for their podcast. And the long-anticipated Savings & Loan is ready to go. Almost.

We were fortunate to be invited to come check out their space, meet with their owner, employees, and most importantly, try their drinks.
