Okay, okay, okay. We’re figuring out this whole “owning a house” thing, so I guess that means we finally have time to do extra curricular things, right? But we don’t have quite the time to get our money’s worth out of Dead Center Film Festival passes. If you’re in that same boat, here are some other things to do this weekend that are awesome.

There’s no easier way to stake a claim in a city than buying a house. Well, except for the fact that buying a house in THIS city has been extremely difficult. Jot back a few posts and you’ll find an article we wrote after interviewing Sarah Bytyqi about the current housing market in OKC. Not only did we want to share that advice with you, but we were also desperate to take any info we could that would help us invest here.

“Dad I’m feeling really sad about this,” my little one exclaimed while walking through the old “skate park” along Walker near Pizzeria Gusto and Pump Bar. The former skate park has been semi-bulldozed and is somehow even more dangerous today than it was yesterday.

Oklahoma City’s reliance on local craft beer is due in large part to COOP Ale Works’ rapid growth and expansion. COOP currently distributes to four states and brewed approximately 9,500 barrels of beer in 2015. All of which made COOP’s seventh anniversary cause to celebrate; over 1400 people agreed and bought tickets to the party.

We haven’t hung out at Guyutes since it opened until this last Wednesday. We showed up around 8 pm with friends to grab a midweek drink and were blown away by how settled-in it felt. There was art on the wall and more tables and the place was hopping on a Wednesday! We didn’t grab food, but they did have a really fun pub-trivia based on Family Feud so anyone could play along (disclosure: we won!).
