Of the neighborhood festivals that dot the map and compete along the calendar, Plaza Fest anchored the fall with a charming take on the usual. The normal format of local beer-local food-art-music-no parking worked great, but Plaza Fest elevated that by introducing the Plaza Alley Walls mural project.

When looking for a family-friendly something to do in the spring or summer in Downtown OKC, it’s difficult to find yourself anywhere other than the Myriad Gardens.

Every few weeks over the summer, Chae Modern Korean hosted pop up dinners in their building on 23rd near Penn. On just such an evening, head Chef Taylor Desjarlais and his Justice League of culinary heroes (including Kevin Lee, executive sous chef at Vast) crafted an eight-course meal that was five-courses fancier than anything I’d ever eaten.

A little bird (named Trae) told us that Oak & Ore has 405 Brewing’s Trae P.A. (a Tropical Pale Ale) on tap now. Might just need to swing over and have a pint or two. It’s also being bottled in small batches as well, which is 405’s first foray into bottling their beers.

Anyone remember what the Tower Theatre was like back in the day? We probably should have snagged these when they were sitting in the alley waiting for dumpster space, but instead just snapped a photo.
